That does not bother me to spend a couple of pounds of software.
I captured audio files on a PC from an audio cassette, but they are thronged with clicks and pops.
What can I use? I tried Audacity, but strongly affects the quality.

I had the same problem.
Audacity to remove noise, but as you may have also been found to deteriorate the quality. Play with the settings can help, but depending on the amount of breath that can be tolerated.
